Today’s guest is Adam Kapelner, Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Queens College, to talk about the nature of probability, some of the theoretical and philosophical foundations of statistical inference, and his research into some basic questions of experimental design.
About Adam Kapelner
Adam Kapelner received his Ph.D. in Statistics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Queens College, City University of New York. His research interests include machine learning — their algorithms and prediction applications, statistical methodology for experimentation, crowdsourcing and more generally, engineering systems using Statistics to solve various applied problems.
