During the Fall 2018 Local Maximum Tech Retreat, we did a panel on the predictions that we make about the future of technology, consumer applications, and society.

Topics and analysis include virtual fitness training, online doctors visits, social media moderation, self driving cars, education, complex voice assistants, and more.

Including panelists Aaron and Crystal Astrachan (Amazon).

Coinye West was a cryptocurrency that actually never got off the ground due to a lawsuit from Kanye West.

Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency based on the sheba dog meme (Doge) with a high inflation rate. It was once the number 3 coin in the Cryptocosm according to coinmarketcap.com in 2013, but has since fallen to earth at number 21. Still, nearly half a Billion dollars in market cap is nothing to dismiss. It is also interesting to note that the word Doge - in addition to being a Strongbad misspelling of the word Dog - was also the name of the leader of the Italian city-state Republics of Venice and Genoa, which were known for their innovations in finance and commerce.

Peleton does not sponsor this show, but we sure talked about them a lot this episode!
