David Kopec is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science & Innovation at Champlain College in Burlington, VT. Prior to joining the faculty at Champlain, David worked in the startup world as a co-founder and consultant to early stage tech companies with a concentration in iOS app development. David is the author of the introductory programming book Dart for Absolute Beginners (Apress, 2014) and the intermediate programming books Classic Computer Science Problems in Swift (Manning, 2018) and Classic Computer Science Problems in Python (Manning, 2019). He is the author of popular Swift open source data structure projects. David holds an A.B. in Economics from Dartmouth College, as well as a M.S. in Computer Science, also from Dartmouth.
