About Maryam

Maryam Aly is a software engineer and professional Foosball player.

In June 2012, she joined Foursquare as the first female engineer after getting a BS in Computer science at Carnegie Mellon. During her tenure she worked on local search, internationalization, infrastructure, and outreach. After 4.5 years at Foursquare, she was a full stack developer on the Google Forms team for 18 months before taking on competitive foosball full time for half a year. Starting Monday, she will be re-joining Foursquare to work on backend for the core business.
